CARIBOU, Maine — The Halfway Home Pet Rescue of Caribou will host a seminar on Friday, March 24, at the Caribou Public Library on “community cats,” or feral cat colonies.
The event, which will run from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., features a brown-bag lunch. Katie Hansberry, vice president of the Maine Federation of Humane Societies and the Maine director of the Humane Societies of the United States, will be a guest speaker.
This is an informative meeting designed for all people who work with community cats. Members of the local police force, animal control officers, volunteers and shelter employees are encouraged to attend; the public is also welcome.
HHPR volunteers will answer questions about HHPR’s current trap-neuter-return program.
