4-H event spotlights horse anatomy

ORONO, Maine — Learn about equine anatomy at the next University of Maine Cooperative Extension 4-H Science Saturday, April 15, 2017, 10 a.m.–1 p.m., at UMaine’s J.F. Witter Teaching and Research Center, 160 University Farm Road, Old Town.

Participants will explore equine muscle and bone structure, study typical gaits and practice basic care such as leg wraps and poultices.

The event is open to students in grades 6–8. The maximum number of participants is 15; minimum is six.

The $10-per-person fee includes lunch. Register online by April 7.
