BREWER, Maine — Class B hockey post-season awards were presented March 19 at Jeff’s Catering and a few Presque Isle Wildcat players earned recognition.

Senior defenseman Denny Young was named to the second team, while Thomas Patenaude, a sophomore, received honorable mention. Young registered 11 goals and 18 assists on the season, leading the Wildcats in points. Patenaude also tallied 11 goals.

Freshman Connor DeMerchant earned a berth on the all-rookie team. He led the team in goals with 14. Sophomore Torey Levesque made the all-academic team.

Young played in the senior all-star game held March 18 at the Norway Savings Bank Arena in Auburn. In the game pitting the top seniors from the north against the south, the South Team won by a 6-5 score in a game decided by a shootout.
