MADAWASKA, Maine — The St. John Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Top O’ Maine Trade Show is “shaping up to be a great one this year,” its Executive Director Brian Bouley said Monday, March 20.

Billed as the largest event of its kind north of Bangor, the Trade Show will be open April 23 and 24 at Madawaska’s Multi-Purpose Center. This year marks the event’s 20th anniversary.

The trade show features local and regional exhibitors displaying a variety products and services. Businesses at the show have included equipment dealers, home furnishings, banks, heating services and car dealers.

Also, several local non-profits groups are normally stationed at the show to increase awareness and raise funds. The event also features a food court with local vendors offering tasty treats and lunch meals.

For businesses or groups looking to secure a spot, the chamber director said there is still space available to lease.

“Last year we had 116 booths with 61 exhibitors,”Bouley said. “This year we may reach 70. We didn’t add more booths, but more businesses rented less booths per exhibitor, allowing more companies to be represented.”

“As a direct response to our local mill workers, we will be extending the hours on Saturday until 8 p.m.,” said Bouley.

The Trade Show will be open 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturday, April 23, and again from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Sunday, the 24th. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children ages 12-17.
