UMPI students recognized

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – The University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Phi Eta Sigma recently held a ceremony to induct its newest members. Over 30 students received certificates signifying their achievement.
    The nation’s oldest and largest freshman honor society with over 350 chapters and more than 900,000 members, Phi Eta Sigma’s goal is to encourage and reward academic excellence among first-year students in institutions of higher learning.

Christian, Chad D. Cochran, Thea F. Day, Jenna L. Flannigan, Alyssa E. Foster, Julia T.C. Friend, Karami R. Ham, Larry Hamilton, Brandi L. Hill, Dawn M. Hite, Hannah M. Hopkins, Kristie L. Kelley, Jeffrey C. Kimball, Heidi R. Libby, Carol A. Martin, Sheila M. McKinley, Dawn M. Michaud, Melanie O. Mowbray, Bryan E. Ouellette, Celena M. Paul, Chad E. Pepau, Thuy Phan, Lisa M. The Executive Committee of UMPI’s chapter include: Colette Cormier – president; Kristi Fitzpatrick – vice president/treasurer; Erik Davidshofer – secretary; Laura Stokes – historian/correspondent; Craig Cormier – senior advisor; and Jim Stepp – advisor.
