The small town of Wytopitlock — population of around 140 people — has decided to remove its public interest telephone in favor of a new snack vending machine. 

The Aroostook County Historical and Art Museum, which usually opens for the season around Memorial Day weekend, has announced that it will be closed for the summer due to ongoing concerns of the COVID-19 pandemic.

But with the advent of COVID-19, the grant has led to a different kind of mobilization — one that brings together organizations and local leaders of the community to provide mutual assistance and to connect residents to resources and information to help combat the pandemic. 

Two occupants of a house on Kelleran Street in Houlton had to jump off the porch roof after exiting through a second-story window to escape flames from a fire that broke out Sunday morning.
