County native beats breast cancer

This year’s been tough for County native Jessica Roettele, who now lives in Milford, Ohio. Back in March, she was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. After chemotherapy and surgery she’s now cancer free. She attributes her successful battle with cancer to a loving family, an amazing medical team and a sarcastic sense of humor.

Over the weekend, Lisa and Clark Scott, and their two sons Colby and Carson came out to support others affected by cancer in The Aroostook Medical Center’s Colors of Courage 5k walk and run.

Sometimes the news just makes me want to hug my kids

With all that’s been going on in the news lately, raging storms, earthquakes, the nation on the brink of nuclear war, I’m starting to get the feeling someone around here is in possession of a stolen artifact or perhaps someone read a passage from some ancient text that has left us all jinxed.
