Veterans Day is Friday, Nov. 11, but several local schools will celebrate local vets a day early with special events.
At Southern Aroostook Community School in Dyer Brook, the public is encouraged and cordially invited to come to the Veterans Day Assembly on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 9 a.m. in the school’s gymnasium. A special ceremony will be held to honor local veterans and all veterans who have sacrificed to protect this country’s freedoms.
Cary Medical Center will present “The Unknowns,” a documentary film about the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery, Friday, Nov. 11, at the Caribou Cinema at 1:30 p.m.
