Birch Point Men’s Bowling League

ISLAND FALLS, Maine — The first week of action has concluded for the men’s bowling league at the Birch Point Lanes. The standings as of Monday, Oct, 24, were: 1, Rough Riders, 8-0; 2, Intimidators, 8-0; 3, Skinner Sandbaggers, 8-0; 4, Strike Force, 0-8; 5, Gutterballs, 0-8; and 6, Dick Lane Jr., 0-8.

Halloween Fun Party returns to Rec Dept

HOULTON, Maine — The Houlton Parks and Recreation Department will be offering its annual Halloween Fun Party on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 1-3 p.m. at the Gentle Memorial Building. Preschoolers through children in grade 5 are invited to attend.

There will be games, crafts and snacks for everyone. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to the party. The cost is $5 per child. Parents must attend the party with their children. Make plans now to attend this fun family event.

HOULTON — The Maine State Police Troop F barracks in Houlton responded to 139 calls for service during the week of Oct. 17-23.

 

Tuesday, October 18

– Tr. Saucier responded to a personal injury rollover crash on the Campbell Road in New Limerick. The subsequent investigation showed the driver was traveling north when he fell asleep at the wheel.
