Troop F report (week of 12-7-2016)

    HOULTON, Maine — The Maine State Police Troop F barracks in Houlton responded to 144 calls for service including over 50 incidents of crashes and vehicles off the road as a result of back-to-back snowstorms during the week of Nov. 28-Dec. 4:

All-Star banquet honors Soccer players

     BANGOR, Maine — The 43rd Maine Soccer Coaches All-Star Banquet was held Sunday at the Spectacular Events Center, with All-State teams announced in addition to All New-England, All-America and Coach of the Year honorees.

     Making the girls’ Northern Maine State Team was Caribou forward Maddie Doucette, along with four fellow Aroostook County players — forward Madison Michaud of Presque Isle, forward Mackenzie Carter of Ashland, midfielder Kolleen Bouchard of Houlton and fullback Aspen Flewelling of Houlton.

Conference recognizes Caribou Viking athletes

     The Penobscot Valley Conference’s all-conference and all-academic teams have been announced for the fall sports season and Caribou High School had several athletes recognized.
