I don’t really understand why some people cannot enjoy genealogy, but I know those people exist. I guess maybe it’s a little like Santa Claus, you just have to believe. You have to believe that the answers are out there, and, further, you have to believe the answers matter. I KNOW they matter to me, and boy do I believe!

Hello everyone again! I’m back from New Hampshire, where I attended the wedding of my granddaughter, Victoria Downing, to Cameron Murphy. It was a beautiful wedding, everyone was all dressed up, high heels, short and long dresses, hair styles different, and I had a reading at the nuptial Mass. I will never see the likes of this caliber in my lifetime again. Congratulations to the newlyweds and may they have a long and happy life.

The holidays are a time filled with wonderful, precious memories of being with family and friends, reminiscing about holidays past and enjoying one another’s company.
Experiencing the joy of the season through the eyes of children is a wondrous thing. For kids, there is no more magical time of the year, as the days until Christmas arrive seem to drag painfully slow. No other time of year can you ask a child the date and have them give a succinct answer without hesitation.
