Local students from the University of Maine at Presque Isle and Presque Isle High School have been able to take part in the experiential learning opportunity of a lifetime thanks to an anonymous donor and an island center off the coast of Maine focused on science and leadership-based activities.
Matthew Oliver, principal of SAD 70’s Mill Pond School in Hodgdon, recently announced the honor roll for the first trimester of the 2023-24 school year.

The automotive career training program at the Loring Job Corps Center in Limestone has received ASE Training Program accreditation by the ASE Education Foundation. Loring’s automotive program has been accredited in the following: maintenance and light vehicle repair.

The 2024 scholarship application is now open. Any student who is an active NorState FCU member, has been accepted to an institution of higher education and attends a high school in Aroostook and Northern Penobscot counties can apply for one of eight $1,000 scholarships to be awarded this coming June.
