Easton Junior/Senior High School recently announced the first-quarter honor roll for the 2023-24 school year. The following were included.
Breakfast for all Schools
Breakfast is served with multi-grain reduced-sugar cereal, WOWbutter/jelly, assorted fruit juice and 1 percent and skim milk.
The homeless numbers reflect a statewide trend, according to enrollment data from the Maine Department of Education. The state averaged 1,294 homeless students from 2014 through 2022, but the number rose to 2,186 in 2022-2023.

Northern Maine Community College held a pinning ceremony on Friday, December 15 to honor the accomplishments of seven graduates from the pilot program for the accelerated associate degree in nursing RN program.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent Assistant Professor of Behavioral Science Lisa Lavoie, PhD, MAIS, LCPC-C, CADC, MHRT-C, CRC, has successfully defended her PhD dissertation entitled “Exploring the Experience of Supervisee Shame in Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselors: A Phenomenological Study” on August 28.
The first round of the 2024 Scripps National Spelling Bee will be held at the Easton Jr/Sr High School Gymnasium at 9 a.m. on January 10, 2024.
The district’s emphasis on proactive mental health care for students over a police presence led the parents to question if bullying is being adequately addressed.
