Pet Bulletin: What to know about life with cats

Cats are super soft, cuddly, cute and a lot of fun. They do make great pets. They will entertain you, comfort you, lower your stress, reduce your chance of having a heart attack, and chase away loneliness. But if you have never lived with a cat before, you might be in for a few surprises.

Pet show a success!

What a great week we had for the Maine Potato Blossom Festival. Tempo Employment Service, always a big supporter of the animals, sponsored the Festival Pet Show.

Ark Animal Sanctuary – Week of July 12, 2023

A few months ago we took in feral black cat who was living on the streets here in town. He is feral. He was not neutered and once we got him to the vet he tested positive for feline AIDS. We named this handsome boy Magnum.

PAWS Pet of the Week – Elliot

Elliot’s eyes and frostbitten ears tell a story.. He was intimidating at first, but nobody gave up on him. Finally he started responding.

A smashing success

July 6 will definitely go down as one of the most fun and successful fundraisers that we have had the pleasure of having for the Central Aroostook Humane Society. Kris Rotonda with his Jordan’s Way Team traveled from Florida, all the way up to Aroostook County to hold a live 3-hour Facebook fundraiser.
