All of us at the Central Aroostook Humane Society would like to say a huge thank you to all those two-legged and four-legged supporters who came out to join in the fun at our annual Paws for the Cause Walk that was held on June 1.
At some point in the majority of the lives of people all across the world, we all long for a pet, a furry friend to help pass the time and make life all the more sweeter.
As many of you recall back in November we went into a home where the owner had passed away and removed about 15 cats. We were successful in getting them all however there were a few that were very sick.
Even though “spring” is dragging its heels this year, we at the Central Aroostook Humane Society are getting ready for our annual “Paws for the Cause” Walk.
Just a reminder that this Saturday, June 1, will be our annual “Paws for the Cause” Walk that benefits the Central Aroostook Humane Society.
We always love it when we get updates on the pets that we have adopted, and it is even better when we get to see them. Just recently we received a visit from Eliot and he looks amazing.
The Cat Coalition of Western Maine recently held a free spay/neuter clinic for Caribou and the surrounding communities.
Although the temperatures may not feel “springish,” spring always brings on an overabundance of kittens.
There seems to be some misconceptions about animal shelters and animal rescue organizations in general. I was actually shocked that some people think we are in rescue to make a profit.
