Andy is a 4-year old neutered male cat with a loving, mellow personality living at the Halfway Home Pet Rescue in Caribou.
We are happy to announce that we will be having “Photos with Santa Paws” on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Central Aroostook Humane Society.
We are thrilled to announce that our 9th annual Toast to the Animals was a smashing success and an amazing fundraiser for the Central Aroostook Humane Society. On Oct. 27 we experienced a tremendous amount of community support for this event and raised just over $9,100 — wow.
Veronica and Betty were feral cats about 8 or 10 months old living in a colony on Veronica Street in Caribou.
Halloween is today, but it’s not too late to consider safety factors around this time of year for our beloved pets.
Our biggest event of the year is days away. On Saturday, Oct. 27, the doors will open at 6 p.m. for a special evening that will benefit the animals at the Central Aroostook Humane Society: our 9th annual Toast to the Animals.

The past two weeks at The Ark have been very difficult and sad. From the time an animal passes through our front door we are committed to and became emotionally attached to, so it is not easy when things do not work out.
