The past few weeks we have once again rearranged the sanctuary trying to utilize every square inch of space. We have had large crates donated to accommodate the influx of cats. We are now officially out of space.
December 8, 9 and 10 will be the last chances for feline spay/neuter clinics for 2023. The clinics will be hosted by Halfway Home Pet Rescue and will take place in Caribou at the old Broadway Electric Building, 40 Broadway Street, near Hogan Tire.
As we brace ourselves for the holiday season and the cold winter months, the phone does not stop ringing. There are people wanting to surrender their pets, strays being picked up and brought to the sanctuary, kittens being pulled out of Dumpsters, people moving and leaving their pets behind.
I bought him on the spot. I settled on the name “Finally Home,” as at my age I felt he would likely be my last horse, and together we were both finally home. His barn name was Finn. I promised him I would keep him until either one of us died.
