Houlton Police Log Nov. 20-26, 2016

HOULTON, Maine — The Houlton Police Department responded to the following incidents from Sunday, Nov. 20 to Saturday, Nov. 26.

 

Sunday, Nov. 20

1:05 p.m. — Officer Quint responded to Charles Street to investigate a burglary.

3:23 p.m. — Officer Quint responded to North Street where he summoned a 44-year-old New Brunswick woman for theft by deception.

HOULTON — The Maine State Police Troop F barracks in Houlton responded to 133 calls for service during the week of Nov. 21-27:

 

Monday, November 21

– Troopers from Troop F responded to 42 accidents/vehicles off the road this week due to a couple of small storms that traveled through the area. Roadways became snow covered and slippery resulting in a large number of accidents and wrecker calls for vehicles that skidded off the road.

HOULTON, Maine — The Houlton Police Department responded to the following incidents from Nov. 13-19.

Sunday, Nov. 13

1:00 a.m. — Off. Janakis responded to Chandler Street to assist a citizen.

1:50 p.m. — Off. Bickford responded to Court Street – remove a reported hazard.

Houlton Criminal Docket

HOULTON, Maine — The following cases were heard under the Aroostook Criminal Docket at the Houlton Courthouse during the month of October.

David Crandall, 33, Smyrna, probation violation, two years in prison and probation revoked; and operating meth laboratory, six years in prison, all suspended, and three years’ probation.

Joshua Beal, 31, Cherryfield: assault, $300 fine, 18 months in prison, $1,524.39 restitution and failure to appear after bailed, 30 days in jail.

Cameron Jacob McEwen, 23, Caribou: theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, priors, six months in jail and criminal trespassing, 30 days in jail.

HOULTON — The Maine State Police Troop F barracks in Houlton responded to numerous calls for service during the week of Nov. 14-20:

 

Monday, November 14

– Tr. Kilcollins responded to the town of Hammond for a report of three camps being broken into. Tr. Kilcollins was not able to locate the padlocks from the camps and it appears as though the suspect cut the locks and took them. The only thing that was taken from the three camps was a flat screen television. The investigation is ongoing.
