On July 6, 2016, Judge Allen Hunter handed down a life sentence to Jesse Marquis, 40, for the murder of his former girlfriend and mother of two, Amy Theriault, of St. Francis.

On June 17th, a jury found Jesse Marquis of St. Francis guilty of the murder of his ex-girlfriend, Amy Theriault. Theriault was killed on May 31, 2014 in her home. She died of a gunshot wound and multiple stab wounds according to the state medical examiner.

Houlton man indicted of kidnapping, terrorizing

HOULTON, Maine — A Houlton man charged with kidnapping in March after allegedly holding the woman he was in a relationship with captive for several hours has been indicted on numerous related charges.

Aroostook County District Attorney Todd Collins released the results last Tuesday of the grand jury indictments handed down on June 9.
