Caribou resident arrested for firing at police

     CARIBOU, Maine — Norman “Jody” Plourde, 43, of Caribou dialed 9-1-1 and threatened to shoot Caribou police officers on Jan. 7, 2016 at 11:30 p.m. This call led to a stand-off at a Liberty Street residence in which Plourde fired multiple handgun rounds at the police. Despite the gunfire, neither Plourde nor the police were harmed.
