Dr. N. Varnum appointed to the manpower pool — A Presque Isle optometrist, Dr. Norman Varnum, was appointed a member of a manpower pool within the Professional Development Division of the American Optometric Association, it was announced by the organization’s president, Dr. B. J. Shannon of Mauston, Wisconsin.
He aims to draw attention to this route that traverses parts of the U.S., Canada and Europe and could potentially bring more tourists to Aroostook County.
The annual event is slated for Wednesday, July 31 through Sunday, Aug. 4 at the Northern Maine Fairgrounds in Presque Isle.
