Here’s how the Star City will welcome the eclipse

The City of Presque Isle is currently knee-deep in its preparation for the total solar eclipse which will take place on April 8, 2024.  While solar eclipses take place roughly every 18 months, the likelihood of reappearing in the same place is another 375 years.

I was having a down day this past Friday.  Life drudges on and things need to be done, so I moped into the Fort Fairfield IGA.  The folks in there have always been decent and accommodating.

‘100 Years of Caring’ theme for Cary anniversary

“100 Years of Caring” will be the theme of Cary Medical Center’s 100th Anniversary 1924–2024. Dr Jefferson B Cary, the founder and namesake of Cary Medical Center could hardly have imagined the advances in medicine accomplished by the hospital since he left the greatest portion of his estate to build and endow the hospital in 1912.

Northern Maine Community College held a pinning ceremony on Friday, December 15 to honor the accomplishments of seven graduates from the pilot program for the accelerated associate degree in nursing RN program.
