CA golfers look to return to state tourney

The Central Aroostook Panthers golf team opened its season Monday, Aug. 22, with a home match against Fort Kent, and 15th-year coach Adam Metzler is looking forward to a successful campaign with what he calls a “well-balanced team.”

Panther boys look to return to winning ways

Three years ago, the Central Aroostook Panthers won the school’s first state championship in soccer. The following season in 2020 was affected by the pandemic and there was no MPA tournament, while last year the CA squad struggled to a 4-9-1 regular season mark and was ousted by Van Buren in the preliminary round of the playoffs.

Annual Viking Run set for Labor Day

The annual Aroostook Savings and Loan Viking Run will be held at the Caribou High School track at 9 a.m. on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 5.
