Aroostook Football is excited to be hosting Touchdown, its fourth annual benefit variety show, at Wieden Auditorium on the UMPI campus in Presque Isle on Friday, April 13 at 7 p.m. with all proceeds going to support the purchase of equipment for high school-aged players living in Aroostook County.
Touchdown has grown to be a highly popular event here in Aroostook County. The variety show features outstanding local talent with a good mix of singers, musicians and dancers demonstrating their skills. All performers generously give of their time to assist Aroostook Football with this important fund-raising effort.
Aroostook Football is entering its fifth season and now serves about 100 players in towns all over the county. All adults working with the program serve in a voluntary capacity and every dollar raised during events such as this one go entirely to benefit the youth of the area.
This year’s show features such performers as Fireman Fred, Molly Bouchard, Julie Shaw, Cody Snow, Adam Simoes, Travis Bouchard, Ben Smith, Danielle Lane, Lily Sund and Stu Wyckoff singing. In addition, Kyle Green and Kelly Moody will offer their skills as pianists. Finally, groups from the Maine Dance Academy and the Small sisters (Abby and Paige) will dance. It promises to be an exceptional evening of entertainment.
