Mars Hill runner-up in tourney

   PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The culmination of the 13-16 year-old summer baseball league took place July 27, with the County semifinals and finals played at Pine Street field and the pool field.     In semifinal action, Mars Hill downed Limestone, while Woodland upended Fort Fairfield.
The championship game for the Aroostook title began with Woodland scoring a single run in the first inning, with Mars Hill answering on a single by Mitch Folsom and a double by Caleb Kelley. After a scoreless second inning for both sides, Mars Hill grabbed a 2-1 lead on a double off the bat of leadoff hitter Dan Brewer, followed by another two-bagger by Folsom. After Woodland tied the score, Mars Hill rallied to take a 4-2 lead entering the sixth inning thanks to singles by Brewer and Logan McLaughlin, followed by a triple by Folsom.
Woodland tied the game with two in the sixth and won it, 6-4, with two more in the seventh.
