The Northern Maine Board of Approved Soccer Officials recently announced the 2007 winners of the annual “Butch” Shaw Award presented to the outstanding soccer players during the 2007 season in Aroostook County. The award is named in the memory of Clyde “Butch” Shaw, an outstanding athlete, coach and official in Aroostook who passed away in 1985. The winners were selected by a vote of the Aroostook soccer coaches.
Class B: Kyle Corrigan of Caribou High School, Ali Richards of Caribou High School and Sarah Porter of Presque Isle High School.
Class C: Parker Brown of Houlton High School, Marissa Albert of Fort Kent High School and Jamie Daigle and Susan Lavertu of Madawaska High School.
Class D: Emanuel Martinez of Central Aroostook High School, Alex Martin of Van Buren High School, Whitney Flint of Ashland High School, Lindsay Lajoie of Van Buren High School and Alex Bird of Washburn High School.
