    LINNEUS – Eugene F. Kervin, 80, Linneus died unexpectedly May 25, 2008, at a local hospital. He was born Mar. 2, 1928, in Linneus the son of John and Margaret (Lawlor) Kervin.
    He was employed for 26 years by the Maine Dept. of Transportation retiring in 1979. Then he did small scale farming as a hobby until 2006. He was very interested in wildlife conservation and was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Houlton.
    Gene is survived by a sister, Vera Kervin of Linneus; several cousins; and his cat, Tabitha. He was predeased by his parents and a younger brother Floyd.
    Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wed. at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton. A mass of christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, at 11 a.m. with Father Ron Labarre celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery Houlton.
