Both the boys’ and girls’ Viking tennis teams blanked Houlton on the Shiretowner courts on May 27, 5-0. In boys’ singles, Franz Zehentner defeated Ashir Abouleish 8-1, Shane Belanger defeated Musa Bilal 8-2 and Casey Lancaster defeated Derek Thomas 8-0. In doubles, Taylor Jepson and Spencer McElwain posted an 8-4 win over Lowell Matthews and Criag Thomas while Keegan Wakana and Tim Langlais downed Tyler Delano and Malik Abouleish 8-0.
In girls’ singles, Octavia Panzeri defeated Anna Caron 8-0, Jenna Selander overcame Hiba Bilal 8-1 and Laura Collins defeated Holly Bouvier 8-2. In doubles, Nicole Nadeau and Meagan Nadeau bested Kelsey Fitzpatrick and Tasha Ponder 8-1 while Missy Nadeau and Elizabeth Barbosa toppled Emily McGary and Desiree Deprey 8-1.
