Ten students earn Certified Nursing Assistant pins

    Students of the Health and Medical Sciences at the Caribou High School Technology Center were recently recognized for their academic accomplishments during a banquet held at the high school.

    Completing their certified nurses assistant course studies through the Health and Medical Sciences Program at the Caribou High School Technology Center are from left, Carrie Jackson, Amanda Mockler and Ericka Pelkey.

    These students have completed all of the state requirements needed to take the exam to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.
    Family and friends were enlightened by guest speaker, Carrie Lorenzo, who spoke about what it means to be a CNA.
    Ms. Ackerson, secretary at the Caribou Technology Center, graciously acted as Mistress of Ceremonies for the recognition banquet. Among honored guests in attendance were: Frank McElwain, superintendent of Caribou and Limestone schools; Ralph Conroy, director at  Caribou Technology Center; Carol Buzzell, Health and Medical instructor; Mark Jones, Caribou High School principal; Monika Baker, CTC secretary,; Judy Bougie, CTC guidance counselor; Carol Castle, Limestone Community High School guidance counselor; Rick Bragg, Washburn High School principal and Andrea Hallett, Washburn High School guidance counselor .
    Special entertainment was provided by Caribou High School senior, Jessica McLeod, who performed  “Somebody’s A Hero,” by Jamie O’Neal.
