Gone to the Dogs

    PINE STREET ELEMENTARY SCHOOL first-graders recently visited their seventh-grade Reading Buddies at Presque Isle Middle School. During the afternoon session, the children were read “101 Dalmatians.” At the conclusion of the story, Cruella deVil, right, (portrayed by seventh-grade English teacher Marianne Dyer) attempted to run away with Shayla, a Dalmatian owned by Nancy and Danny Donovan. Nancy is a resource room teacher at the middle school. However, before deVil was able to steal the dog, she was apprehended by a policeman (portrayed by eighth-grader Jacob Player). The children thoroughly enjoyed the skit, and the appearance of a real Dalmatian.
