Fitzpatrick Peabody earns degree

    HOULTON – Erica Fitzpatrick Peabody graduated from the University of Maine at Orono in May with a Master’s degree of Science in Plant, Soil and Environmental Sciences. Her thesis was entitled “Methodology and Assessment of the Susceptibility of Potato Genotypes to Phytophthora Erythroseptica, Causal Organism of Pink Rot.”
    Peabody’s undergraduate degree, also from UMO was a B.S. in horticulture with minors in biology and botany. Peabody is employed by McCain Food USA, Inc. in Easton as a potato agronomist. She serves on the Maine Potato Board as the first female member. Peabody and her husband Barrett reside in New Limerick.
