White, Malcolm D., 73, Caribou, in Augusta, August 2, 2008. A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m., August 6, at the Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, Caribou. Interment with military honors will follow at the Northern Maine Veterans’ Cemetery in Caribou.

Image     Malcolm D. “Mac” White, Jr., 73, of 97A Solman Street, Caribou, died unexpectedly, Saturday, August 2, 2008, at the Togus V.A. Hospital in Augusta. Mac was born May 26, 1935 in Fort Fairfield to Vesta (Bobbe) Kenneson and Patrick White, but grew up and went to school in Limestone.  Mac joined the U.S. Air Force at the age of sixteen, and served sixteen and one half years, receiving an honorable medical discharge. He then returned to Limestone to raise his family.
    Mac is survived by his wife of fifty years, Florence (Jean) MacDonald, daughters Kristie and her husband Danny Reed, Kari, and her husband Scott Kelley, sons Robert, Scott and his wife Peggy Drost, Malcolm (Macky) Jr., and his wife Dee Briggs, sister, Alice (Sally) Armstrong of Alabama, sister in law, Eileen Fettes of Nova Scotia, brother-in-law, Don MacDonald of New Brunswick, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Jim and Greg White.  
    A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday August 6, 2008, at the Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou, with Pastor Ellen Cleaves officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow at the Northern Maine Veterans’ Cemetery in Caribou.  The family invites friends to join them for a time of refreshments at the funeral home after the committal.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or to the Heating Fund at the Limestone Methodist Church.  Arrangements in care of Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home.  Friends may express their condolences to the family at www.lancastermorgan.com.
