HOULTON – A number of changes have taken place at Houlton Farms Dairy since it opened in 1938.
But, one thing has never waivered — their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Houlton Farms Dairy is the locally-owned family business of Leonard and Alice Lincoln, along with their sons, Eric and Jim.
They employ 14 full-time employees and surpass 50 workers in the summer with the addition of extra hands to run their dairy bars in Presque Isle, Caribou and Houlton.
Houlton Farms Dairy milk also comes from just three local producers, James and Perry Lilley of Lilley Farms in Smyrna; David and Dexter Cowperthwaite of Cowperthwaite Farms in Littleton; and Mark Crane of Crane Farms in Hodgdon.
“This combined effort of the entire family working together, along with all of our employees and producers, as well as the continued acceptance of our products by our valued customers has preserved Houlton Farms Dairy as the only locally-owned and family-owned dairy north of Portland,” Alice said.
