MACS: new owners, same sporting enthusiasm

HOULTON — MACS Trading Post on Route 1 in Houlton, which has been in business for six years, has a fresh feel with new owners Darrin and Michelle Crane taking over in March.
Each season in Maine offers MACS a unique opportunity to change their inventory to suit the outdoors person.
“Maine people have a wide variety of hobbies that include all seasons. We have all the products and services they need to completely enjoy personal interests throughout the year,” explained owner Michelle Crane.
The winter is a wonderful time for being outside and MACS has the live bait, traps and supplies necessary to make for a successful ice fisherman. During the summer months MACS carries supplies for fishermen and campers alike while not forgetting the growing sport of boating. Old Town Canoes and Kayaks are always a summer favorite.
With fall right around the corner MACS is prepared with an inventory of guns perfect for hunting season.  With the opportunity to buy, sell and trade at MACS the variety of guns changes almost daily.  Ammo is never a problem at the North Road Trading Post, the variety is always there, with hard to find calibers readily available.
Whatever the season MACS Trading Post is eager to welcome back their old customers and meet the many new ones that find their way in.
“We do everything we can to meet the needs of the outdoor hobbyist,” summed up Crane.
Currently MACS Trading Post is open Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
