ART WITH LOCAL TIES — The Houlton High School Alumni hosted their annual golf scramble and social at the Houlton Country Club on July 5. An original painting done by Class of 1969 alumnus Corrine Lynds Bongiovanni, of Gorham, was presented to Connie Reece Barry (’63) who held the lucky ticket. The painting depicted the 16th hole of the Belgrade Golf Course. Corrine has become well known for her golf course paintings and has traveled to many parts of the United States and beyond to paint. She is the Maine State Golf Association’s authorized artist. You can view her Web site @signaturelooks.net for more information. She will also do paintings of your home and gardens.
