When ready for a new haircut or updo for a special occasion, there are numerous choices of salons in the area. The Lavender Puff Hair and Tanning Salon, which has been in operation for over 40 years, attributes their continued success to quality customer service and continued education.
The salon, owned and operated by Karlyn Williams, is located at 3 Water Street in Caribou. They specialize in all things hair, including haircuts and styles, as well as colors, highlights and lowlights, foiling, extensions, cornrows, perms and updos for weddings and proms. They also offer facial waxes and tanning services.
“We try to keep up with all up and coming trends,” said Williams.
The salon also offers hair care products in numerous well-known brands, such as Biolage, Kenra, Vavoom, Paul Mitchell and CHI. They also sell Matrix products, which Williams says is their biggest product line. In addition, they also have a variety of tanning lotions and products, as well as their tanning booths.
Williams has five other employees who work at the Lavender Puff, including three full-time and two part-timers. Ann, Fallan, Jessica and LouAnne are there to perform miracles on unmanageable hair and stressed out brides, while Kylie can help you get bronzed for summer, without an expensive trip to the Caribbean.
Williams said The Lavender Puff focuses on customer service to keep people coming back again and again.
“There are a lot of choices in Caribou for salons, so if you don’t have good customer service, they’ll go elsewhere,” she stated.
