Rotary Club
The Mars Hill Rotary Club met at the Aroostook Health Center on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 6:30 a.m. The special speaker was Rotarian Ray Mersereau. He spoke on the upcoming election and how there are several aides at the voting station to help those that are visually- or hearing-impaired.
There has also been an increase in the number of voters seeking absentee ballots.
Bridgewater Historical Association
On Saturday, Oct. 18, there will be a Potluck Harvest Supper and Game Night in Bridgewater at the Historical Hall on Main Street across from the post office. The supper begins at 5 p.m., with games to follow. Bring a dish to share and your favorite game to play and have a good time. Some games will be available at the hall to use (Scrabble, Yahtzee, etc.). Refreshments will be available. All proceeds will go toward the General Building Fund for this event.
The final special event for the season will be an Adult Halloween Party and Dance on Oct. 25 from 8 – 11 p.m. Live music will be provided by Outside In. It is a BYOB event. A costume contest is scheduled along with a 50/50 and some door prizes. There is a $5 entry fee to the party. Come one, come all, to the historical hall, to have a ball!! Don’t forget your dancing shoes. All proceeds from this event will go toward the purchase of a new PA system for the hall.
About one-third of the funds for the PA have been raised to date.
At least until the end of October, the Thursday Night Music will continue with the sounds of Outside In.

Bridgewater Creative Crafting
On the first and third Thursday’s of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Civic Community Center in Bridgewater, crafters are encouraged to join together to work on various projects.
Bring your own supplies and projects as you share your knowledge of various crafts. Work together or individually with quilting, knitting, sewing, embroidery, crocheting, scrapbooking, etc. Everyone is welcome!

Craft Fair
St. Anne’s Episcopal Church ladies will be hosting their annual Craft Fair on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The CAHS French Club will also be having their annual Pie Fest starting at 11 a.m. and running until all the pies are gone.
The event this year will be held at the Mars Hill & Blaine Recreation Center on ACI Street. Please contact Cherry Cowan at 429-9892 if you are interested in having a table at the fair.
New addition
Robert and Kristen Henderson of Sneads, Fla., would like to announce the arrival of Ryan James Henderson on Friday, Oct. 3. He weighed 8 pounds 13 ounces and was 21.5” long. He is welcomed by his Grammie Tomi Henderson of Mars Hill and Aunt Tara and cousin Jonathan Henderson of Presque Isle, who are planning a trip to Florida over the holidays.
