Veterans, if you thought that all neat stuff I mentioned about the CareerCenter was all they offered, think again.  CareerCenters also offer a myriad of workshops all designed to enhance your job searching skills and expertise or help you find money for school.  I would encourage you to sign-up and take full advantage of these opportunities.  These workshops are:     How to Get $$ for Training: Gives you the basic steps for successful college enrollment. They discuss GED, college & trade school options in your region, entrance requirements, admission procedures and financial aid.  This Workshop is available by appointment only, please enter the following link in your address bar to register for this workshop: http://meoc.maine.edu/schedule.php
Career Exploration: This workshop explores your career interests, aptitudes, values and how each transfers to today’s job market and is offered every Tuesday at 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Resume Workshop: In this workshop you will have hands on resume experience and learn guiding principles of building an effective resume, placing you ahead of the competition and increasing your chances of getting an interview.  If you have a resume, bring it to the workshop.  Offered every Wednesdays, at 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Job Search (REA 1): Dedicated to creating job search strategies, proper interviewing techniques, job applications, and basic CareerCenter Services.  Offered every Thursday at 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
