    Officials at Katahdin High School have announced Shelbe Lane as valedictorian of the Class of 2010. Lane is the daughter of Keith and Shelley Lane of Patten. She plans to attend the University of Maine at Orono and major in business administration. Lane is a member and president of the National Honor Society, the Southern Aroostook Tobacco Outreach Program and Student Council. She has volunteered for the Lumberman’s Museum, and Sweetpea Community Garden and was founder  of the Shared Sight Project.

Salutatorian

    Kali Rush is salutatorian of the Class of 2010. She is the daughter Teresa Rush of Benedicta and Kevin MaCleod. She plans to attend the University of Maine at Orono and major in biology. Rush is a member of the Student Council, Southern Aroostook Tobacco Outreach Program, and the National Honor Society. She has been involved in basketball, softball, soccer and volleyball.  
    The following students are honor students of the Class of 2010.
    Jaimee Lee Anderson is the daughter of James and Leanne Anderson of Patten. She participated in cheerleading and managed soccer. Anderson is a member of the Southern Aroostook Tobacco Outreach Program and the National Honor Society.  She is active in her church and volunteers in kindergarten, seventh grade, and a high school biology class.
    Amber Charette is the daughter of Joseph and Janice Charette of Stacyville. She plans to attend University of Maine-Fort Kent to double major in biology and journalism. Charette has been involved in the Southern Aroostook Tobacco Outreach Program, Civil Rights Team, and has attended the All-Aroostook Music Festival for three years. She has also volunteered at the 2009 Special Olympics and various Knights of Columbus events.
    Brady Curtis is the son of Steve and Kelly Curtis of Stacyville. He plans to attend University of Maine to be in the exploration program. Curtis has been involved in National Honor Society and Student Council and has participated in basketball and baseball. He has volunteered at Old Home Days and helped with many church activities.
    Melissa Duffy is the daughter of Billy Duffy of Sherman and Rebecca Anderson of Frankfort. She plans to attend the Husson University to major in nursing. Duffy participated in soccer, basketball, softball and volleyball. She is a member of the Student Council and National Honor Society.
    Hope Heath is the daughter of Chris Heath of Patten. She plans to attend University of Maine and is enrolled in the foundation program. Heath has been involved in National Honor Society, Student Council, Students Against Destructive Decision, Art Club, and the Southern  Aroostook Tobacco Outreach Program.  She has participated in soccer.
    Olivia McNally is the daughter of Tim and Renee McNally of Sherman. She plans to attend the University of Maine at Presque Isle and major in physical education. McNally has participated in basketball, soccer and softball. She has worked at basketball camp for youths during the summer.
    Jorden Osnoe is the daughter of Kevin and Linda Osnoe of Sherman. She plans to attend Eastern Maine Community College and major in early childhood education. Osnoe has been involved in National Honor Society. She has participated in jazz, ballet cheerleading and gymnastics. Osnoe has volunteered at the Sherman Public Library, Vacation Bible School and the Battered Woman’s Project.
    Levi Robinson is the son of Rob and Susan Robinson of Benedicta. He plans to attend the Central Maine Community College and major in general studies/radiology. Robinson has participated in soccer and held numerous community jobs.
    Damien Smith is the son of Paul and Stephanie Daigle. He plans to attend the University of Maine at Machais and major in veterinary medicine. Smith has participated in soccer and art club. He has also been a volunteer firefighter in Sherman.
