Houlton High School alumnus and former resident Barbara London, a musician, educator and most recently featured as an artist at the Blue Moon Gallery, was guest at a reception at the gallery where she greeted many friends as well as art lovers from the area. She is best known for her jazz performance and composition, but also paints. London’s works are on display and for sale at Visions, 66 Main St. Her favorite medium is watercolor and, as a child, she won contests for her artwork in this area. For the past few years, Barbara has been studying with Seacoast artists (especially Dustan Knight) and has been featured in shows in Maine and New Hampshire. Now a resident of New Hampshire, she leads the Barbara London Quartet and is a member of the Funky Divas of Gospel. London’s studio is located at The Mills at Salmon Falls, Rollinsford, N.H., suite 549, or contact her at wild aster productions, P.O. Box 1085, Hampton, NH 03842, 603-926-2029.
