MARS HILL – Maida A. Grass, 90, died June 29, 2010, at a Mars Hill health care facility, with all her immediate family members at her side.
Maida was born in St. Stephens, N.B., Canada, March 1, 1920, the daughter of Henry W. and Muriel (Maybee) Lello. Maida worked as a LPN at Gould Memorial Hospital from the early 1960’s into the 1980’s. She then worked part time at the Mars Hill Health Center for a few years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford E. Grass; and her sister, Marjorie Thomas.
Maida is survived by her daughter, Lorraine Ruotolo of Bradenton, FL; two sons and their wives, Brian L. and Dixie L. Grass of San Antonio, TX, and Evan and Linda Grass of Mars Hill; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Howard Lello of Presque Isle. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be conducted at the Pierce Cemetery in Mars Hill at a later date.
