Sno-Drifters honor landowners

    The Molunkus Valley Sno-Drifters held a Landowner Appreciation Night.
    The evening started with a supper, followed by a program welcoming and thanking landowners, guests and members.

    The night’s speakers included David Stevens of the Northern Region VP for the Maine Snowmobile Association; Dan Brigham, Northern Regional director for MSA; Rep. Henry Joy and Sgt. Durward Humphrey of the Maine Warden Service.
    Deb Long, club president, presented awards and certificates, while Rick Allen presented Rick Long, trail master, with a gift to show his appreciation for all the help and tips Long gave to him throughout the season. Allen was also thanked for his time and effort that he puts into awards night.
    Those attending the program enjoyed seeing the events and projects the members have accomplished over the year.
    But, the night was also for landowners.

    “A huge thank you goes to all landowners for their support and land use,” said Long. “Without them, we wouldn’t be doing much. Please, please respect the landowners and carry in and carry out.”
    Members also recognized Gary Long for his donation of the door he made for the kitchen window; Deli Caldwell and Pud O’Roak for their hard work and dedication in the past before retirement.
    “We are lucky we have the team of groomer operators and workers we have now,” said Long. “We appreciate each of you as there are too many to name. We look forward to the upcoming season.”
