To the editor:
On Aug. 29th, the people of Patten are invited to join with members of both the Patten Pentecostal Church and the Stetson Memorial United Methodist Church in forming a prayer chain connecting the two church buildings. This public witness has the power to unite the people of Patten in prayer against drug addictions, alcoholism, and the related struggles they produce. The chain will form along the west side of Main Street at noon for prayer, during which time the bell in the Methodist church will ring for 15 minutes. Participants are asked to remain in prayer as they stand hand in hand. We need 500 people to be a link in the prayer chain. We need you!
