    HOULTON – Gilbert J. Roy, 73, died Oct. 17, 2010 at his residence with family at his side. He was born March 17, 1937 at Guerette, the son of Alfred and Martha (Albert) Roy.
Gilbert was a communicant of Saint Mary of the Visitation church. He was employed with Houlton International for many years before going to work in the woods until his retirement. He served with the Maine National Guard and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
    Gilbert is survived by his seven children, Wendy Roy and her fiancé Raymond Diehl, Robin Murchie, Kimberly Graham and her husband Nason, Lisa Beals and her husband Brian, Rebecca Joslyn and her husband Richard, Nikki Roy and her husband Jason Howland, Mathew Roy and his fiancé January Jones; many grand-children and great-grand-children; one brother, Clinton Roy; many nieces and nephews and his special companion Anna. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Robert and his sister Madeline McGuire.
    Friends may call Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dunn Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Mary of the Visitation Church 10 a.m. Thursday with Rev.
