District 6 needs Smith’s maturity, experience

To the editor:
Greetings and salutations from someone who knows, and has been there, what it is like to balance a multitude of ideals, opinions and ideas of what is right or wrong, good or bad, necessary or not, etc.
To the point, I have served and served, by the general consensus of my constituents, well in the House of Representative seat number 6, which I held nobly and conservatively for all the people in my district for eight years until retiring.
The seat is now involved in a contest as to whom is the most worthy, experienced, knowledgeable, and mature candidate to fill it. I can say without any hesitation or reservations, that one person, like myself, who has been educated, raised a family, worked out for wages, helped run a business, helped operate a complicated farm, had to solve problems and invent solutions, gone without, and shared in plenty; that one person who is also humble as dirt, smart as a whip, always in Dickies work clothes and ready to fix whatever needs fixing, is someone with a common county name but living so close to the farm that most people might not be familiar with, but those that do, will certainly agree that that one person who is able, qualified, and willing to help out is Nathan Smith.
The good people of District 6 have trusted me with their affairs at the legislature in Augusta for eight years and I will say this. The nation, state, county and especially our rural District 6 is in serious need of someone who can bring us through the demanding and trying times ahead. So please, let’s all pull together and put in someone mature, experienced and qualified — Nathan L. Smith !
