HOULTON — A single clue to the identity of a man whose badly decomposed body was discovered in Stacyville leaves state police asking the public for help to determine who he was. Deer hunters discovered the body three weeks ago in woods off Route 11.
According to police spokesman, Steve McCausland, the man was wearing a blue and white knit cap with the name “CHRIS” knitted into the design. McCausland said the State Medical Examiner’s Office found no signs of foul play and put the death at sometime in early September. The man is believed to have been in his 50s, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall weighing about 150 pounds.
