For more than 30 years, Project Graduation has provided high school seniors a safe and chemical-free environment to celebrate the end of one chapter in their lives and the beginning of another. These events are not possible without the help of the community, from fundraising to donating time, space and other resources to the graduates.
On Saturday, Feb. 19, during Moosestompers Weekend, the Meduxnekeag Ramblers Snowmobile Club on Wylie Road in Littleton is hosting the “Moose Mojo” Dance to benefit this year’s Project Graduation. This event has traditionally drawn a huge crowd of people from all over Aroostook County and the state to not only support Project Graduation, but to have fun doing so.
The doors open at 8 p.m. for a social time. Admission is $10 per person. Please bring your own refreshments. This is event is for those 21 years and over.
The evening’s live performance will kick off at 9 p.m. by Houlton’s own Doubletap, whose high-energy blues performance will keep fans from sitting too long. For more information on this powerhouse trio, visit www.DoubletapBlues.com. Doubletap will have band T-shirts for sale, a portion of the proceeds will be donated by the band to Project Graduation.
