Housing Authority meeting
A meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Presque Isle Housing Authority will be held on Wednesday, June 8, at 1:15 p.m. at the Presque Isle Housing Authority, 58 Birch Street, Presque Isle.
SAD 1 School Board
The SAD 1 Board of Directors will hold the regular monthly Board meeting on Wednesday, June 8, at 5 p.m. in the Board Conference Room at the Presque Isle High School.
The VFW will be having its monthly meeting on June 8 at 7 p.m. with supper at 6 p.m. New members are being sought in the Auxiliary all the time; and need members to help out. The 91st State Convention will be held in Bangor on June 10-12 at the Ramada Inn on the Odlin Road. Bangor is the headquarters for the VFW Department of Maine.
NESCom honors
The New England School of Communications has announced the following local students have been placed on the school’s Honors List for the fall semester of 2010. To receive honors status a GPA of 3.0 to 3.5 needs to be maintained by the student. A GPA standing of 3.5 or above represents high honors status.
Receiving honors distinction are: Stephen Nason, Washburn; Eric Lindsay Monticello; Nicholas Weeks, Monique Pelletier and Amanda Nadeau, all of Presque Isle; Steven Carmichael and Joseph Johnson, both of Mapleton; Nicholas Rush, Houlton; Ethan Willey, Caribou; Robert Nesbitt, Hodgdon.
Enman graduates
POULTNEY, VT. — Kenneth Enman, of Fort Fairfield, graduated from Green Mountain College on Saturday, May 14, with a bachelor of arts degree in English/Secondary Ed.
