Employees credited for success

Tempo Employment Services would like to pause and thank each of their skilled employees for all of their hard work and dedication. For more than 25 years, owner Lois Dickson says success has come through the many bases that her company strives to cover.

Tempo has been a significant contributor to a stronger economy by providing jobs to hundreds of qualified people in Aroostook County. Approximately 80 percent of those employed by Tempo move to full-time ongoing positions.

Tempo offers flexibility to both employees and businesses as to when, where and how they work. Tempo serves as a bridge to connecting the right person to the right job. Employees often select their work schedule and choose among a variety of diverse and challenging assignments.

Competitive wages are also a major contributing factor to Dickson’s success. “We strive to pay our employees as much as possible while providing a cost-efficient service to the various businesses in our area,” she said.

Perhaps most critical to Tempo’s success, however, is Dickson and her staff’s commitment to customer service and the positive “word of mouth” advertising that follows.

“Many companies and employees refer associates, friends and family members to Tempo because of the service they have received,” she said. “Our goal is to find the right job for the employee and the right applicant for the job. We constantly ask for feedback and are committed to being fair to everybody. We know there is a direct link between employee satisfaction and customer satisfaction. We so appreciate the important contributions our employees make to area businesses and the success of this company.”

Over the years, Tempo has also become an important link between businesses and people from other areas. Dickson said she receives inquiries via email, phone and mail. She receives resumes from people who want to move back to the area for a number of reasons. Some are from the area and want to move back to be near their family, others want to move here to raise their families or retire.

“Most people need a job when they get here and we do our best to place an entire spectrum of people,” she said.

Located at 40 North Street in Presque Isle, Tempo is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The company can be reached at 764-0772 or via e-mail at info@tempoemployment.com. For more information, visit Tempo online at www.tempoemployment.com.
