HOULTON — The Gentle Memorial Building was transformed into a Valentine’s Day paradise Friday evening for Houlton Elementary School’s fourth annual “Daughter Dance.” More than 150 students and their “dates” attended this year’s event, which serves as a fundraiser for the school’s Parent-Teacher Organization.
While the majority of the youngsters opted to dance and run around on their own, there were a few daring dads who took to the dance floor to dance with their daughters to show off their moves.
D.J. Norton once again provided the music for the evening and kept the youngsters (and parents) engaged with “the Chicken Dance” and “the Cha Cha Slide,” while also mixing in some popular dance songs.
Hanna Mooers donated her time to take formal photographs of each attendee and their guest.
